A young Waclaw, currently known as the Blessed Father Honorat Kozminski (a franciscan), (...) started around the middle of the XIX century several monastic assemblies, which were providing assistance to the poor and rejected by the world. One of them was the non-frock Assembly of the Sisters of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, which was founded in 1887. Its founding and character of activities were closely connected with the liquidation of the monastic orders by the occupation authorities in the Russian sector of the partitioned Poland, folowing the fall of the January 1863 uprising.

In the beginnings of their activity, the sisters conducted apostolic services among women employed in the manufacture, aiming at the religious and moral revival of this social group. (...)

Today, the sisters also wish - everywhere and in all possible ways - to carry the name Jesus to the ends of the world, to serve each human being they meet and to say: JESUS LOVES YOU! (...)
