Here lives Adam's closest family in Poland - Halina Biernacka (071), younger sister of his father Zbigniew (062) and her daughter - Alina Filipkowska (072). Champagne toast!

Warszawa

Adam, Wanda and Barbara at the monument to the Victims of Soviet Aggression. Zbigniew (062) - Adam's father was in 1939 in the Polish Army, was captured by the Soviets, placed in the prisoner-of-war camp in Ostaszków
and later in the labor camp in Siberia.

Old Town - at the plaque commemorating the Insurgents of the Warsaw Uprising in August 1944.
One of them was our cousin - Barbara (084) - daughter of uncle Edmund (075), who was a nurse in the military hospital, was wounded during an explosion of the tank-trap and then died in the rubble of the bombed hospital.
