The message from Charles (dated: June 5, 2010):
Dear Waldemar,
I don't know how to thank you for all you've done and all you are doing
for all the Wajszczuk's and Waszczuk's of the world! I'll never forget the
first time I found your name, listed in Citations Index, from your
multiple cardiology papers. I was looking for my name, of course, and
there you were!
I've attached two photos, one of me and CJ (Charles John) and the other of
Liz.
We are way behind in updating our info, so here's the Reader's Digest
version:
We're still in Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889 (...) and I'm entering my 7th
year with Johnson and Johnson Group of Consumer Companies. Currently, I'm
Senior Director, Medical Safety Officer in the Office of Safety and
Toxicology. Address there is 199 Grandview Rd., Skillman, NJ 08558 (...).
My job is best described as a physician who interprets both toxicological
and manufacturing issues as they impose any threat on current or future
consumers or clinical subjects. I work very closely with Quality Assurance
and R&D and, quite frankly, I wield a broad and heavy stick. Despite the
recent adventures at McNeil, a company not under my thumb, I'm quite proud
of the job we've done in the last few years. My product responsibilitites
are worldwide , but luckily I have help across the oceans. I cover
Neutrogena, Aveeno, Johnson's Baby, Penaten, Band-Aid, K-Y, CareFree and
StayFree and OB, Listerine, Neosporin, Polysporin, Monistat, Reach,
Rembrandt, Plax, BenGay and topical Benadryl (as well as others not
currently hitting my frontal lobes). Safe design and safe implementation
and safe manufacture are the areas I oversee from a medical standpoint.
Lori and the kids are doing well. I won't bore you with the stepchildren,
since technically they're not Wajszczuk's! Katie is entering sophomre year
at Michigan State, intending to become a grammar school teacher. Liz is
entering 8th grade with every intention of becoming a veterinarian. Early,
yes, but I do believe she'll wind up with animals in some capacity. She is
a horse fanatic and won her division in the Delaware Valley Horseman's
Association last year. And is leading her new division so far this year.
CJ is entering 3rd grade, so his issue is why dad hasn't fixed his bikes
or the broken chain on his go-kart yet. (...)
